Emmons guitars
Can anyone tell me the difference between an Emmons Legrand and a Legrand ll besides the difference in the size of the tuning keys? And which one would you rather own?

The LeGrandes had the short key head and the same cabinet as the PP's. The Lashley LeGrandes had the longer cabinets and long key heads unless special ordered.
As for the differences in the Lashley Legrande and the Lashley leGrande II.
I'll quote Jack Strayhorn.
There were several changes, mostly to assembly techniques, between the Lashley I and II. It is a misconception that only the bellcrank changed. We did very little to advertise the exact changes but the guitar spoke for itself. It was by far, a better playing guitar.
From Me.
Due to the changer re-alignment a true LII has a little shorter changer throw than a early Lashley LeGrande with 14 hole cranks.

The SKH LeGrande is 32&1/2 inches, The Lashley LeGrande, LeGrande II&III are 33&1/2 inches. The P/P is 33".
I just measured my SKH and LeGrande II, and have owned three P/P's.
