I'm both, saddened as well as shocked after learning the news just minutes ago of Ron's death. During the early 90's, I played steel with Ron at many different venues. Actually, I'm very well acquainted with everyone in Ron's entire family. My thoughts & prayers go out to all of them. Indeed, a very sad day.

Chris, I'm so sorry to hear the tragic news about your dad. Your dad was a great man and was proud of you as a son and a musician. He is going to be sadly missed by me and my son, Tony. If you need anything Chris, I'm just a phone call away.

Deepest sympathy,
Chubby

My goodness! I've enjoyed seeing them over the past couple of years at Chubby's show. I know he was proud as a father could be of Chris' steel playing.

Sincere codolences to all the family and friends.

Chris, I don't know you but I know what you are going through. My father and I had a special bond playing in a band together. When i lost him in 2005, It was the hardest thing I've ever faced. Playing music is not the same without him. But I keep on playing for him. Just trust in the Lord for he has called your father home. God Bless.

Just to clear any confusion, Chris Castle's dad Ron Lee Castle is not the Forum member Ron Castle, who is alive and well. Two different people.

My condolences to Chris. It's so hard to lose a parent. :(
