Hello everyone,
I've given myself quite a bit of time with this instrument, enjoying its tone and wondering, sometimes out loud, if I could ever learn how to play an 8 string lap steel proficiently. Sadly, the answer appears to be no and I'm running back to a 6 string lap steel with my tail tucked between my legs and my admiration for talented steel players firmly cemented.
This is an amazing instrument to behold, and is only eclipsed by the actual sound of it. For more details, please refer to this link, Tom does a pretty good job of explaining the instrument and all that went into it.:

I would really love to trade for a newer model Weissenborn style guitar, but am also open to a straight up purchase.
Any and all inquiries will be entertained. Thanks again for looking and, if you're reading this Tom, I may be contacting you not before too long about a 6 string to replace this one with.
Thanks again.

Hey Juan, sorry to hear that the 8 did not work out, but when your ready, I'd be happy do discuss a custom 6 for you!
To any forum member that may be interested in scoring this beauty from Jaun, I'd be happy to extend my lifetime warranty to the new owner.
A lot of love goes into every instrument I build and I've no doubt that she will make someone very happy!

Well Tom, I gotta tell you, I'd probably do a lot the same, especially the pickups and the chambered Korina body, boy is her voice exactly what I wanted, clear and strong...and the four way pickup configuration is just about perfect. There is so much about this steel that is exactly what I want, but I just can't get used to the feel of those 2 extra strings on the bar and under my hand...
Let's see how this one comes along and we'll be talking soon. Thanks again for the work you put in and the work that you do...

That's one gorgeous work of art! What's the asking price?
