POD XT Volume Pot Scratchy

The volume pot on my XT is scratchy. Almost to the point of going out.
Can these be cleaned or replaced?

It can probably be cleaned, although you will have to disassemble the unit to get at them. You can take off the bottom but that's only part of it. I don't remember but I don't think the pots are accessable, at least enought to spary contact cleaner in them at that point. I had mine apart for a different problem but its been a while ago.

Are they actually analog pots on an XT?

Good question on what the pots are or do. When I had mine apart I didn't look at what type they are as I couldn't see them with just the back off.
