They have had a lot of problems during the past year. How long ago did you order them? Most I know don't get for maybe a month or so. The reason I no longer use them.

Somewhere in here there is a recent thread about the Jagwire strings; don't remember details but they have gone thru some real tough times in the past year or so. ...Jagwires were my string of choice, too. Would stay with them if I could depend on quick delivery. :( Guess I'll give Live Steel a try and see if they "live" up to what they are touted to be. ...

I tried to place an order earlier in the Summer but I got no response to my email.

Danny's always given me the very best of service so I'm disappointed; I hope all is well with him and I'd love to hear how they are if anyone gets any news.

I got some 'Live Steel' strings instead from Sid which, so far, have worked well but I remain very fond of Jagwires too.

If they get back up to snuff, I will go back to Jagwires in a second. I like them better than Live Steel Strings (slightly), but I can't wait for long deliveries or not being able to reach them.

I am sure that things will get back to normal. I wouldn't use anything but Jagwire strings. I am willing to wait. I do know that Danny doesn't like to have a zillion sets made up and sitting. He is of the belief and I am too that this is one of the causes of them not holding their tone or their strength for longer periods. So that being said it takes a bit longer. Also if I remember right when Jagwire strings are made it involves re-tooling to make them. So like I said I will wait. I have used other brands in the 30 years I have been playing steel and nothing beats them.

I just recently found a decent day job, so having cash tied up waiting for them to arrive shouldn't be so bad. Maybe I'll fire off an order here soon.

I ordered mine from the forum and still have a good supply. Just looked and they still seem to be offered. I imagine b0b would be on top of taking them off if they were gone.

Last time I looked, the Forum was not selling Jagwire sets, but just singles that are probably left over from the last order they received.

All I see just now are the singles; no sets listed for Jagwire. I'll try ordering from Jagwire website. ...

I haven't received a shipment of Jagwires for over a year. They have my purchase order. All I have in stock are the singles that you see.

I have all gauges of GHS singles in stock, and sets from GHS, SIT, Live Steel, John Pierce and Black Diamond. See www.steelguitarshopper.com/categories/Strings/ or just click STRINGS at the top of the page.

I ordered strings from the Jagwire website on 6/17/12. I emailed them 3 times from 6/28 to 7/10 asking them when the strings would ship. I wasn't demanding they ship the strings immediately. I simply wanted to know when they would ship the strings. I was willing to wait as long as I knew they would eventually get to me. I got no response to the three emails I sent over a three week time frame. My fourth email to Jagwire on 7/17 was to request they refund my money. Again no response. Luckily I paid with Paypal. I put in a dispute and got my money refunded. Even after all this I still really like Jagwire strings and would like to continue to use them, but since I can't get them I've switched to the GHS E9 progressive wound sets that b0b sells. If b0b offers Jagwire sets again in the future I will buy them from him, but I wouldn't recommend doing business with their website from my experience. YMMV.

For those who are bummed out at Jagwire Strings, you need to understand, they have been under very tough/severe times dealing with family/personal matters, and it sometimes takes a long while to recover and get back on track. Do you understand that ok, that family comes first? Take your one email/order and multiply it time HUNDEREDS, maybe thousands and you can see why you might not have gotten the answer you wanted as quick as you thought you should have-----------don't take it personal. Patience has it's rewards. They WILL come through, just not on OUR personal time-table. We'd all get sick to our stomachs if we really knew what was going on "back stage" that Danny and family were dealing with. Give them some breathing room. Last thing they need is a forum pile-on. Empathy is in order here.

Mike, man thats great of you to offer the Jag strings :) I have a few sets of ,Live Strings to get me by here,,but thanks a million for the offer anyway.

I wish I would have known up front that there were some issues with the family, but when you dont know,
you dont know, I guess.

So I will let the PayPal dispute, drop & just forget about it & pray for Danny & the family.

Man I have to get over & catch your show :)

Be well my friend & thanks again.

I pick up a couple of sets of E9th strings from Danny every year at the Dairy Steel Show. They are certainly worth waiting for. Recently I gave a set away to another local steeler who was amazed at the positive improvement they made on his S10 Emmonds guitar. Don't know what brand he had on before though.
