Mid-60's Sierra with a Brads-rack, I'd say. I have a brochure from that era. I think Chuck Wright would and could re-invent the wheel for any customer that asked for something new. It was an honor to meet him and hang with him for a short while when I was in Sacramento in 2003.

Chuck made the guitar, and Tom Bradshaw had two versions of the Brads-rack; one was the "Z" as shown, the other was kind of a wrought-iron grapevine trellis looking stand.

Interesting piece, no lie. A definite conversation-starter.

Yeah, dual humbuckers on both necks! Shocked

I regret not buying an S-10 Sierra on a brads rack I saw in a local music store a few years ago. It was only $350 and I passed..the kids were young and I was broke..... Sad

How was the rack?
With the cross rods in the front it would appear to be as stable as a legged guitar.
Could it be packed up easy?

Jim,
Yea it packed up pretty quick, I have been in contact with the owner, he's had the guitar for 8 or so years, never learned to play it, he wants to sell it local, no cases, and it's heavy!!!... you can park your can on this guitar and change the oil!! it's really in great shape for the years on it....

Thank you Herb for the kind words about Dad... Very Happy
