Just a heads up to all steelers out there. Bob at GFI is the man. Ive contacted GFI a number of times and have always received detailed emails within a day or two. Last week a contacted him about pricing on a small part for my Expo, and he emailed me then same day. Not only did he get back to me promptly, he said in the email that he'd ship the part to me free of charge! They got good karma over there at GFI. GFI is the way to go if your looking for a great steel at a good price, and you'll get the added bonus of dealing with outstanding tech support and great people if you'll need it. Kudos GFI! Very Happy

Indeed. I have had several exchanges with Bob via email recently. He always responds in a day or two as you said. I have been really happy with the customer service they have provided to me.

A+

High five to GFI service!Had an issue with my Ultra keyless SD-10 right after I bought it and after it was resolved about a week later I got a call on my cell at rehearsal one evening and it was Gene Fields calling to make sure I was happy. How's that for service! These guys are great.

+10!

Way back when I was experimenting with 10 string versions of Sneaky Pete's B6 copedent (as set up on an 8 string, 9 pedal, 2-knee Fender 400 modded for a few double changes) I got a GFI Ultra from Bobe Seymour (another amazing human being) and went to work implementing a very complicated (and insane!) copedent worked up by Ed Bierly with input from a few others.

Bob not only sent all the parts I needed to do it gratis, he was a genius when it came to setting up the mechanics.

I seriously think the only way he cold have done it was to build out a duplicate in the shop, as there are things that *just* barely are able to reach the outer limits of the guitar's tolerances.

Add to that the fact that the GFI is the easiest guitar to work on/modify/tweak other than a cable pull Fender, is rock-solid, ultralight yet stable and has the richest tone of any modern guitar I've heard and I'd personally never even consider buying another brand of new guitar.
