Without having to surf forever, I was hoping for some suggestions for a NEW S10.
Most of what I've found have pads. I know about GFI. |

AFAIK, everybody that makes a steel will make a plain S10, and ETS makes only S10, IIRC. _________________ 2 pedal steels, a lapStrat, and an 8-string Dobro (and 3 ukes)

I'm not saying the other S-10 brands arn't good,,,they are. But, I know first hand that the ETS is a super dooper fine guitar. I'm playing one now and I just love everything about it.
Get in touch with me and I'll make you a realy good deal on one.

I would suggest the Mullen Discovery. A pro guitar all the way with a great sound, and a fair price. Visit the Mullen web site. Larry _________________ Mullen G2 SD10 3 & 5 The Eagle

We (my wife) have a GFI Expo S-10. It plays well and stays in tune good. I've taken it out on a couple of jobs and once to our steel guitar club jam. The factory 3 pedal/4 knees are set up almost identical to the same pedals/knees on my Franklin D-10 (I have one extra string change on the RKR that is not on the stock GFI setup).
However, if I were to buy another single neck guitar it would be an SD-10 (I'm not in the market for another guitar). If nothing else the extra cabinet provides support for the picking arm.
There are also many that believe that a doubleneck guitar body has better tone and sustain. |

If you can find one, the Excel is great mechanically, light, plays easy and is easy to work on. Larry

I'm really happy with my S10 Desert Rose guitar. Chuck makes an S10 with a slightly larger body, which feels great. Great sounding guitar! |

Desert Rose built by Chuck Back.i have a 4 pedal and 5 knee with split tuners and use it on my gigs ,have had close to zero times i had to make tuning adjustments on an outside hot temp gig and even cold weather it suprised me and held its tuning.there are several single 10s that are worth a look. _________________ Mullen G 2 D 10 8 & 6 , Emmons D 10 8& 6 Evans Amps , Revelation,MPX1,Steward PA 1000 rack, Steelers Choice Cross country Seat ,Hilton Pedal, Curt Mangan strings .
