I don't know what'll come of those maple bars, maybe I'll dry em out in my garage and use em as steels for my dobro...

Could be a new technique, for that warm tone, use a maple bar!

Hey guys....this sunday, 7/22, I'll be showing my new stuff, a few PDX steelers are coming over....come on by! Or stop in anytime (I'm in inner SE PDX, just hit me up):

The New Milkman Pedal Steel Amplifier (this thing is amazing!)
-also-
The New Milkman Guitar Amplifier (once I heard the steel amp, I just had to go all the way....my Matchless amps are history)
http://milkmansound.com/Milkman_Sound/Products.html

plus my brand new Williams 700 - even smoother than the old ones

and of course, all the cool Telonics stuff (pickup, volume pedal)

and I just put some new Roadhouse PDX P-90's in a guitar, he is a local pickup guy with a patented new winding method that dramatically extends the harmonic range of the pickups....wait till you hear them....he does all the standard pickup types, his tele pickups are really nice...

Hey! I'm confused...................

Post by Ray Montee »

If the Muller JAM is "TOMORROW NIGHT", "TUESDAY", how in the world can it be July 31st????

Wouldn't that be July 24th?????????

You guys are likely using a different calendar than I grew up with.

Bob & folks...thanks for coming over last night, it was fun to hear everyone get "their tone" from the new amps, steel, and 6-string guitar pickups....I'll certainly try to get down to your jam again as soon as band practices (3 bands) leave a hole!

Well last night's jam set yet another new record for attendance, and still better than ever music. It's almost hard to imagine that could get any better. We had several new players in attendance, as well is some of the very best of the regular gang. I want to give special thanks to the people who came so far to make this happen, it just wouldn't be the same without them. We had a new dobro/guitar player, a drummer, and a violin player +3 ladies playing ukuleles. I think it gave us a total of 12 players in all. So all of this along with the vocals of Storm, Shannon, and Jeannie made for a wonderful evening of music. Those of you who could not attend missed one of the greatest evenings ever!!

Again I would like to thank Shannon, Josh, and Storm for traveling so far out of their way to make this happen for us. And all of the help from the other seasoned players in the area which make this jam the success that it is. Hope to see everyone again in two weeks for the next jam.

Yes Larry, and the color scheme went so well your shirt, and those knees. :D :D
By the way the girls really did appreciate the way you help them through the jam. Kathy was very happy at the end of the evening she felt she had learned a lot about playing with the group. And yes please bring the fiddle back again it's a great mix with the other instruments.

Eric's Mom is just saying "Hi"

Post by Eric West »

This is the first time in a long time that I looked at the Forum. Doug Jones told me about your gathering and it's quite a hit, Bob! I like to think Eric is lingering around there somewhere! Well, especially by his "stuff". Enjoy! love always, Audrey Lundgren, aka Eric's Mom

Where's the photo's from your last gathering get together?

Those of us unfortunate enough to not be able to attend are still very much interested in the attendance and what all took place.

How 'bout it?

Now I want an Emmons!

Post by Rick Schacter »

Your new Emmons should attract a couple people to your function.

That is probably the nicest pedal steel guitar that I've played so far.
It sounds as beautiful as it looks and plays like butter.
It's a keeper. All I could say is WOW!! :whoa: :D

On Friday, tomorrow, I start on an intense blood thinning medication for two weeks then I go into the hospital for a procedure to look for any possible blood clots that might have been created during my bout with A-Fib. Depending on what they find, they likely will go to the electric shock step for my heart.......in hope of getting it back where it should be beating normally.

Oh well.............. I'll be hanging in close to the apartment for awhile.
