I got a nasty looking link from him. Most likely he's been Joe Jacked and now me and everyone else that received it has been.
Just a heads up.

Not unless you clicked on the links... I got two from his address and just deleted them. Pretty obviously hack mails. I hate it that people do this... _________________ Stop by the Steel Store at: www.markvanallen.com

Sorry Guys,
I think this is directly connected to Norton Anti virus.
Please just delete them.

True. But don't the hackers now have our E-mail addy's to pass along to spammers? And our addy's will be used for spam till they get blacklisted??The one I received had been forwarded with a lot of addy's. No Bcc was used. Imagine that.
No hard feelings Bob. It happens to most everyone.

Bobby, I really don't know how all these bots work, but usually somebody clicks on a link, or their email gets compromised allowing an auto-bot to remail to their email address list. I think it's rarely a hands-on deal. Wiz over in "computers" would probably be a lot more help.
One thing you can do is put your own email into your own address book, and then you'll be copied on anything originating from your email using the whole address book. _________________ Stop by the Steel Store at: www.markvanallen.com

I still can't figure out, with all the trouble they cause, why people use these features? My own "address book" is a spiral binder in a drawer. If I have to send someone an email, I type in their email address. Since I don't type that fast, this limits the numbers of emails, and that's probably a good thing.
Of course, if you're spamming (sending emails to dozens and dozens of people each day), then I could see where that feature of an email program might be very handy. |
