I did not watch all the show, but the man I saw was Rick Price. He is in Jake Hooker`s Band.

TruCountry bounced all over this episode, from Bobby Flores and Jake Hooker from Season 1 (w/Jim Loessberg), to Johnny Bush (Season 3) w/ Jim Loessberg (Johnny even called out Jim's name during "Whiskey River"). Then Jody Nix with Junior Knight.

Rick Price was part of the "house band" Season 2 (Dicky Overby was also there).
Edited to add: Apparently the "advertised performers" (and steel players) were different than those actually performing in the shows 5-6 Oct...I was going off of recorded episodes with J Bush and Jody Nix
