Adjustment needed
Is there anyway that the floor pedals can be adjusted on an Emmons LeGrande III , so that they push rather easy?
If so can someone email me on how to adjust them.
Thanks
God Bless

You can make the pulls of the pedals easier (and longer) by moving the pull rods one or more holes closer to the cross shafts. Do it on one pedal at a time and move each pull one hole at a time to get a feel for the difference. This will probably require lengthening the stroke on the pedals that you change.

Billy call Bob Simmons. He is a pro at building and rebuilding any pedal steel.I know he was working on an Emmons push pull in his store yesterday. He is flying today in Miss.and Georgia but you can reach him at 1-205 647-2331.Bob has been working on steels most of his life. His SIMMONS pedal steel's are works of art that have made hundreds of players happy over the years. The guy is one of the best builders I have ever known. On Saturdays he keeps us spell bound with stories and pictures from back when he was on the road with the grand ole opry stars, and building guitars at Sho-bud. He is a very modest man who will treat you right.
[This message was edited by Andy Alford on 24 October 2002 at 12:09 PM.]

Jeff,
I was just wondering, Did you recive that Sterling Silver "Emmons" PLate with the puriloid background? (Labour Day Weekend)
I gave it to a fellow just north of Nashville, at a truckstop when you guys were fueling the bus..I ask this fellow "Who Does this bus belong to"? And he said, "Clint Black". The bus was a Silver over "Rich Ruby Red" color...I told this fellow that I sort of knew you through working for the Emmons Co. back in 99, and 2000..Told him of Jack Srayhorn and Ron Lashley Jr. who built you D-10. I told this guy that I was the fellow that had to polish, check, and make sure that all was ready to ship your guitar to you.
This Emmons plate was made by me in Jewlery school. I have made a mold of this pup, but, will not make any for just anyone, due to the fact, that I do want to cross Ron and Rebecca Lashley. Only two have been made...You are to have the 1st one...and I own the 2nd one, which is on my Emmons Steel.
Let me know if you receved it, and if not, maybe Ron Jr. will allow me to make you one.
They are KICK-A#@%* when the stage lights glare on them. I keep mine polished at least once a week.
Later Picker,
