Fender Dual 8 Professional, 1953

Post by Brad Price »

1953 Fender Dual 8 Professional steel, all original and in fine working order. Trapezoidal pickups are well balanced, pots and switch still working great after all this time. Original tweed case and full standing height legs.

There is a small amount of cosmetic damage to the body near the spaghetti logo, but otherwise this instrument does not appear to have been played much. The chrome on the pickups still looks new, and the finish still shines.

I purchased this guitar 17 years ago with a notion to play Western Swing, but kids came along and it has stayed in it's case that entire time. I'll just have to stick with standard guitar I suppose

Asking $1800, email me for more info. I live in Portland, Oregon.

Can be fixed.......

Post by Tommy Auldridge »

I'd say that damage on the front can be fixed, and restored to perfectly new. I'd like to buy it, but I have to sell one of my D-10 Emmons steels first. Real nice one though. Tommy......

A great Western Swing Steel! It plays and sounds as good as it looks!

It's still available!

I've not been trying very hard to sell this, and so it is still available for someone who would dig a genuine working '53 Fender Dual Professional!

Somebody talk to me. We'll see what we can do.

I've decided to try a bit harder to sell this old gal, and so I put together a quick video to demonstrate how she works.

I hope you enjoy this - I ain't much of a steel player, but it's sure a nice instrument!

Asking $1500, someone make me an offer if you like. Thanks so much.
