what is being referred to on the gibsons when they say korina? thanks for any answers,will

Korina is the type of wood. Usually it is done with a natural finish or light stain. It is a medium dark wood similier in grain texture to Mahogony or Koa, but the color of light Koa wood. The Early gibson flying V and explorer guitars were made from this as well.
