Papa's got a new pair of shoes Smile

So what am I up to? ... a couple B6 inspired builds of course, the P6 Deluxe Wink
I must say, Jason's new Horseshoes look fantastic! They are not cheap, but the build quality is fist rate!

His bass horseshoes list for $450... dern! That's a *lotta* 'not cheap'... these must be comparable, I'm figuring.

If I have anything to say about it will Very Happy ... I've been wanting to do a B6 style build for a long time now and am really looking forward to bringing it to fruition. One is for a customers build and will sport a curly / flame maple body chambered in much the same manner as the original Bakelite's. The plates / accents will be African padauk, mother of pearl inlay, and finished looking much like my FPS prototype pictured below.

The second one is still up for grabs, but I'm leaning towards going a little more "traditional" with a dark body / mahogany and either birdseye or curly maple plates.

Both P6's will get custom Hatton cases too.

Yea, $400 a piece but where else can you buy one ... short of cannibalizing vintage steels, which I'd never have the heart to do. Truth is that I feel lucky that we have a winder like Jason who will go out on a limb and tool up to build these old school pickups.
