My amp cuts out on me when playing but can be fixed if you hit the left front corner of the amp fairly hard. I have seen others amps with the same problem. I would appreciate any help telling me what can be done to fix this problem. Thanks

Most probably a cold solder joint somewhere on the chassis. This is a common problem with Peavey's. In fact, every repair made at the factory has a charge to "touch up solder joints"

don't forget to bypass all loops (volume pedal, effects, pre/pwr etc) with a short guitar cord... those switching jacks get dirty unless used often enough.

You can use De-Oxit/Pro-Gold on them... make sure you get in between the switching parts, though. Business card/matchbook cover with ProGold on it works best.

Hi neighbor,
I found the power cable was wiggling loose on my N1000.
I put one of those little P-shaped cable clamps up under there and it helped alot.

Thanks to all who provided possible solutions. If I solve the problem, I will let you know what I had to do.
