This handmade, beautiful Celtic Cross Kona Style Hawaiian guitar, (Made in Victoria BC) has the most amazingly figured Australian Blackwood I've ever seen. Every inch of this guitar is stunning. The sound is full, transparent and open. Build in the tradition of the Weissenborn Hawaiian guitar, Kona guitars had deeper bodies giving it a fuller bass response and the solid mahogany neck gives it substantially more sustain. The body is bound in flame maple and the fret markers are abalone.

It comes with a Fishman Rare Earth magnetic sound hole pick up which is full, bright and nicely balanced. It also comes with a generic hard shell case.

This Celtic Cross Australian Blackwood Kona sells new for $2,250 and the Fishman new are $175.00.

If you’re looking for a Weisssenborn style slide guitar ala David Lindley or Ben Harper, this is the sound but at a fraction of the price.
