GFI Guitars.

Post by Allan Thompson »

For those of you who get the chance to try one of these guitars do so you will not be dissappointed. I bought one a few months ago and can`t find enough good things to say about it. Before buying this guitar I was a Push Pull fanatic. Don`t be put off by the looks of the guitar it`s good to be different. As far as tone goes with the right amp. settings this guitar can be as mellow as you want it to be.

Hi Allan,

I Love my new GFI. I'm new to playing the steel, but I've been playing in bands with steels for 25 years now. I was a diehard Emmons guy. The band I play guitar for played in KY last weekend. I compared the tone from our players Emmons LegrandeII to my GFI. I was really surprised. My GFI had much better tone than the Emmons.

See ya,

I think Ronnie Miller gets a killer tone out of his GFI(s). He's playing a new keyless that he said is knocking him out tonewise...

I had much the opposite experience when I was able to compare a new Emmons LeGrande III and a GFI at a local steel dealer earlier this year. As I stated in a previous thread "The Emmons sounded like a hot Krispy Kreme and the GFI sounded like a stale Zesta".
