Adding Matchbox to chain...................

I'm adding a Matchbox(Goodrich Super Sustain, older version. Not 7a.)Keep in mind that I'm a Nooby with another toy. Do I have need to reset my amp settings and tweak from scratch or use my existing presets and tweak the Matchbox? Where would a good starting place be in order? What do I listen for and what is the expected result? Mr. Green

The matchbox is placed between the pickup and foot volume pedal. I like to run mine with both controls at 12 o'clock and adjust them up or down accordingly.
