Replacement handle for EH-185 amp - where can I get one?

Post by Eugene Cole »

My amp is missing its handle and it is a nuisance to carry it around without a handle.

Someone must have/make/sell reproduction handles for these amps. I just do not know who does and where to find one.

that place in Michigan is way to high on the $$$$

Try Reliable Hardware (ask for Gene ) ( www.reliablehardware.com ) and if they do not have them the can usually get them.

Check out their web site first -

I too found the http://machinistchest.com/site/products ... gory_id=57 site but it is $50!

I would probably grit my teeth and spend the money if I could verify the quality/accuracy. However I am wary of spending that much cash without seeing if it is an accurate good quality reprodution first.

This is essentially what the handle should look like.
Image

It is a leather handle with a ball sewn inside each end of the leather to keep it captive under the handle-straps. My handle was entirely missing when I got the amp so I do not have a sample which can be replicated.

Thanks for the tip. I could not find the Gibson handle on the Tubesandmore site.
