Franklin guitar

Post by Morten Sand »

Hi.
I've got an old Franklin D10 with 8 and 7.
The serialnumber is 002.
Does anyone know anything about this guitar ?
The decal on the front has been replaced.
P.S. Here's some pictures of it. www.morten-sand.com

Thanks :-)
[This message was edited by Morten Sand on 20 September 2002 at 04:13 AM.]

[This message was edited by Morten Sand on 20 September 2002 at 04:14 AM.]

I don't know anything about your guitar, but I enjoyed your sound samples on your Web-site. I suspect you like swing music.

I could be wrong. But I think it was originaly Paul Jr's guitar.Had 9 pedals when it was new. It's had several owners and at one time was owned by the forums Jerry Wallace.

I have a Franklin just like yours with 705's
#025. I'm also a good friend of Larry Gadler, the bass player in one of your pictures.

Sorry I can't view your site.My old Franklin is #22.I cleaned the changers, rerodded, added a ton of changes.(Raises and lowers).I plays like a dream and sounds a little better to my ears than the the later model.I love them both.
[This message was edited by Bobby Boggs on 21 September 2002 at 10:03 AM.]

Theresa tells me via E-mail, that your guitar was indeed Paul Jr's guitar.Later sold to Wayne Hobbs and then several other owners.Yours maybe the Franklin pictured on Steel Guitarist magazine.I'm only guessing about the last part. But the time frame fits.------bb
