Hey Joe,
Just wanted to let you know how much I am enjoying your new "Wham Of That Steel Man" cd's. There's just something about your style that makes it so enjoyable to listen to. I hope you'll keep these productions coming, Joe. I've been a fan long before I ever started playing the pedal steel.
Cheers! |

I have been enjoying Joe's album as well. A complete concept with great production and arrangements, the players involved are top notch and Joe's touch and tone are truly wonderful to hear. A great addition to the California lineage of players, Joe has made an album that steel players will be listening to for years to come. |

Hi Dennis,
Glad you like the album and thanks for posting. Hope you're enjoying pedal steel. How long have you been playing?
John & Chris - that is a cool article, thanks. I've been trying to post it here, but can't figure out how to do it correctly. BTW, Vintage Guitar supports sending their articles viral.
Mike - I'm honored. As everybody should know, Mike Daly's new album is great and we've marveled about how similar our concepts are. The first cut on his album is a Traffic instrumental cut called "Glad." I also recorded that tune but decided not to use it for this album. We both also recorded Blind Faith's "Can't find My Way Home." Of course the arrangements and the way we play the tunes are totally different but interesting in our own wacky ways. I would recommend that anybody who buys my album, try his also, and hopefully vice versa.
Thanks,
Joe |

Joe you always have some cool twists and turns in your records. And this one is most enjoyable!!!!
I'm curious to hear Mike's CD. I'm sure it's great! That's really interesting that you did some of the same tunes! _________________ Tommy Detamore

Hi Joe,
Thanks for your reply. I have been playing about 7-8 yrs. and have been bitten by that discontent bug that keeps me striving for better and better.
Again, many thanks for the enjoyment you bring to neophytes such as myself. Your tone and impeccable playing skills are what keeps us newbies in the game.
It means a lot to hear from you personally.
Thank you!

Hi Tommy,
Thanks for the kind words and interesting that you posted. I was just listening to your CD with Doug Sahm, "The Return Of Wayne Douglas." Your tone and playing is impeccable. I was especially blown away with "Cowboy Peyton Place." You're truly a great steeler. Hope all is well.
Dennis, again, thanks for listening and getting what I do.
