SSSGC meeting report
Wow! It was so good to see everyone Sunday. This was the biggest turnout since moving to our new place. It was so good to see Virgil Pittman back to playing. Thanks go out to Jerry for helping out on rhythm as Donley Harrington couldn't make it. Also it was good to have Ron Fredrickson and Linda up from Van Buren. We had 7 steel player total, Ron Fredrickson, Jimmy Dreadfulwater, Del Lombard, Virgil Pittman, Larry Garrett, Gerald Sparks and Bill Myrick. Clark Cox drums, Jerry rhythm and myself on bass. We tried to keep everyone in line but it's hard when you have Virgil, Larry and Bill back together. You never know what they'll come up with. It was nice to have the ladies too. Clark's wife Pat, Del's wife Agnus, Jerry's wife Carolyn, and Ron's wife Linda. We missed Miss Eva and Donley. Maybe Bill will have some pictures. Thanks everybody for coming out. Also we have to thank my daughter Tammy for making us chocolate chip cookie bars. Everyone really liked them and told me to tell her.

Oh well---O.K. I'll just slip them in anyway -
Small but very efficient back up band -- Norma Jean and Clark Cox
Ron Frederikson with fans watching
Jimmy Dreadfulwater
Del Lombard
Virgil Pittman
Larry Garrett
Gerald Sparks
Me with Jerry Latty hiding behind me playing good rythm guitar
Was great to have Virgil back with us and it wasn't long 'til he was put to work signing up new members.
Somebody told me this was a drum set. I dunno --I'm seventy four years old and been to three goat ropin's and a world's fair and ain't ever seen the like before --
Del looking over Ron's equipment during break. I prophesy there's a pedal rig in his future -
A trade is never good between friends guys-----
"sigh" I tried to tell them---
Special "Thank You" To Linda Frederikson for helping me take pictures.
