Amp for Resonator Guitar
I am looking for a small amp to use with a mic to play a resonator guitar. It does not have to be 100 watts. It will be used in a small building. Any suggestions?

How much money do you want to spend? We have a number of suggestions on the Electronics section of the forum. I'll move this discussion there and see if you get any further suggestions.

Hey Pat, on August 5th it's "Jerry Garcia Day" in San Francisco and there is a a celebration at the Jerry Garcia Ampitheater in McLaren Park. Peter Rowan is playing and on dobro is one of the best in the business, Mike Witcher. Mike doesn't have the name recognition for most folks like that of Jerry Douglas, Mike Auldridge, or Rob Ickes, but he is an amazing player and a great guy.Pat Haley wrote:Thanks guy’s for the help. I went with a Fishman PRO-LBX-500 Loudbox Mini. By the way, while here in CA it would be great to come see some of the locals around the Bay Area play, and maybe take some resonator and/or PSG lessons. Any suggestions?

He is also a gifted teacher. I was looking at his schedule and he has some open time in the next week before the Rowan band hits the road again after the Garcia celebration, and if you could arrange for a lesson I would highly recommend it. He also is doing the Skype lesson thing these days. Of course lessons with Pete would also be outstanding.
Like Pete, Mike also lives in the Sierra foothills but a little closer to the Bay Area, he moved back to California after four years in Nashville.
If you get something going with Mike, tell him I sent you!
