Steve is a top notch player. I was shocked how many records he has played on. I really hadn't heard of him until Josh put out "You Man". But he has a lot of sessions under his belt, and all are good one's. The stuff he did with Danni Leigh is great.

Steve's work with Danni is AWESOME! Danni told me on Facebook that she really loves the steel guitar! I asked her who played steel on her records and when she told me it was Steve Hinson, I told her Steve is a friend of mine! Danni loves the steel guitar, and I think Steve was a lucky man to have played on her records!

Heck, even I can "tear up" a Tele. I just can't play one worth a darn. Laughing Laughing

I first met Steve back when he was with John Conley. It was my first experience ever playing a large concert, and Steve jumped off the bus looking like he had just woke up, jumped on his steel and was playing some terrific stuff. A year or so later I attended my first (of several) Jeff Newman schools. The whole class went to Printers Alley, and lo and behold Steve was there onstage at one of the clubs. Not only is he a killer player, but a humble gracious person as well.....with a terrific sense of humor to boot. He loves steel guitar with a passion and it shows.

Steve is one of my favorite Nashville players. I have never personally met Steve but I feel like I know him and consider him a friend.
