Marrs D-10

Post by Michael Haselman »

My first posting! Image Proud to be a member after eavesdropping for the past few months. I played a Sho-bud Pro I for 23 years before I got my Marrs D-10 last April, and the honeymooon isn't over yet. It's got a wonderful tone, great sustain. Just wondering the history, parts availability, etc. of Marrs guitars. I bought it from a third party, so I never met the owner. Also, since I just started on C6, you can count on many future questions. Glad to be aboard!!

Why don't you call Duane Marrs, the builder? You can find him at 615-868-5344.

Welcome to the Forum Michael. This is a fine place to pick up information, and tap into the experience of other steel players of all talent levels. I'm no expert on Marrs guitars, but I beleave that Duane Marrs in Nashville builds them. The Marrs guitars are played by many road musicians, and are often seen being played on the Opry, so you are in very good company. For parts or tech help, he can be reached at 615) 868-5344. Best of luck with your new guitar. D.D.
