Any Texas Players Worked Here

Any of you Texas players worked here?

I passed through Coleman on my day job yesterday. Given my passions for country music and bird hunting I was thinking this might be the ideal move for me.

Seriously, what has the world come to when even a west Texas honky tonk has karaokee on Thursday nights! You may not see the sign clearly enough but it says "Kerreokee Thursday Nights"

Hi Bill, Coleman is where I grew up. I never played in that place but at least the bird hunting is still good.

I went right by there with my guitar in the car on my way to play in Brownwood last Sat nite. Does that count? I was pretty close. And watch out for that Keeney guy when you go thru that part of the country.

Thanks for the feedback. I quail hunted around Brownwood and SantaAnna in January 2000 but never made it to Coleman that I am aware of. The fellow we hunted with had rights on the ranch of the gentleman that ran the bank in SantaAnne. We met his son who was deaf. The For Sale sign is on the hunting lodge that is next door to the saloon. I still am bothered that karaokee seems to have taken over here too...".

Beautiful country out there.

Not a bad part of Texas. I use to pass there often but always in the day time. Loaded truck !!!
Look at the map. Lots of hot spots near by. TEXAS is where it is at.

Bill, the man that ran the bank was Joe Ed Wise, he died about five or six years ago. I think his son still lives there. They had a ranch at a place south of Santa Anna called Rockwood.
