The question comes to mind “wonder what the poor PSG players are doing today?” which I have asked myself on many occasions before but not on a day as prestigious as this occasion..

Self has never come forth satisfactorily with an answer.

I realize that times have been hard for many and perhaps even some poor unfortunate PSG player may have to work out of necessity today. Some won’t be able to afford to recreate so they will just tell others they need to stay home and practice (that won’t fool anyone that you’re not an obvious loser).

So I thought I would not shot off my usual vulgar display of wealth in incendiary shells
for fear folks feeling I’m rubbing it in.

But then a rethink.
I would hate to deprive these less fortunate than I PSG players of likely the only recreation they will be able to afford this whole year.
“Two sparklers please! And hurry it’s getting close to cocktail hour at the country club.
Happy 4th

Ray We had a very unfortunate fireworks accident here at the country club and we almost had to disappoint all those steel players parked along the fence outside the Golf Course and call the whole thing off.
I spilled my martini on one of the sparklers.

Bo I knew you were going to write something on a topic about how you were sick of all the crying the blues about how bad things are for Steel Players.
But I didn’t know you were going to relate it to the 4th. Laughing
This does make that pathetic point.

As for my 4th, I had an 8am load-in to get set up pre-parade for a gig in a small town nearby. 8am- that's just plain mean. But it was a fun gig, under an enormous gorgeous flag that gave me a lot to think about and be grateful for, and I was done and out of the sun before I turned completely into Jerky.
The parade, however, was a real disappointment- one nice '20s firetruck, some boy scouts and a sharp drill team- but then 400 cars of politicians.
I didn't even have a sparkler.
