Hello again...
i do not have the Eb to D lower on my pesky 2nd string.
i know i'm missin' out on somethin'.
Would anyone have an idea if i could include this change on my present copedent and where ?
it seems to me that it's got to be on Knee Lever, now which one ?...
i have a old ShoBud Professional D10
(rack + barrel)
my E9 copedent:
Ped A takes strings 5+10 A to B
Ped B 3+6 G# to A
Ped C 4 E to F#
5 B to C#
Lev RKL 4+8 E to Eb
Lev RKR 4+8 E to F
Lev LKL 1+7 E to F#
My C6 copedent:
Ped 4 takes strings 4+8 from A to Bb
Ped 5/5 G to F#
9 F to E
10 C to D
Ped 6/2 E to F
6 E to Eb
Ped 7/3 C to D
4 A to B
Ped 8/1 D to E
7 C to C#
9 F to E
10 C to A
Lev RKL 3 C to B
Lev LKV 3 C to C#
thanx for havin' been this far and even more thanx for the Solution.

You have some of the note names messed up in your setup, but I assume you're talking about lowering the 9th string D-C#. That normally goes on the same lever that lowers your 2nd string D#-D/C#. Since you only have three knee levers, the obvious choice is to add another knee lever. If that's not an option for you, for most licks, adding it to your LKL will work.

In that case, you could add the 2nd string lower to RKL along with lowering your E's. Most Universal players do that although they lower it to C#. On your Professional, it might work out that if you lower it to C# it will go to D before the E's kick in and you'll have a 1/2 stop built in. That would let you use the D note without your E's being lowered.
To post your copedant, lay it out like you want it to look in NotePad, then use the "tab" commands around it from the UBB code page.

Or, you might consider changing your LKL to Bobbe Seymour´s "Z" lever which also lowers the 2nd string D# to D, along with raising string 7 F# to G# and lowering 9 D to C#. Since your guitar has only 3 levers, it seems like a perfect candidate for it; it´s like having two levers in one. Also, on a Professional you won´t need bellcranks and don´t have to disassemble anything, all you´d have to get is another pull rod and the assembly to fix it to the "rack".

Crowbear,
Jim and Joe's suggestion of lowering strings 2 and 9 are probably your best option. The change you use with your LKL lever (E-F#) is good, but with only 3 knee levers lowering 2 and 9 is better. I'd add a 4th knee lever (LKR) to get the E-F# change back. I use that change on LKL(Out). Since you have E-F# on P3 your current LKL change may be expendable. Hope that helps.

Thanx Joe
i did read about Bobbe Sezmore's Z lever thread here recently.
perhaps it's the way to go..
Thanx Denis
LKL is one i like usin' on 3 above.
(minor third position)
i do like Jim's proposal.
Settin' up changes on my Bud is'nt difficult so i'll see what i can come up with.
Steel Thankin' you Guys...
