Guild Archtop Savoy X-150D $1200

Post by Kerry Hutcherson »

Hi folks,
I'm posting this one for a friend. Here's what he has to say about this axe:

"I am selling a mid 90's Guild Savoy X-150D. Besides two dinks (one on
the headstock and one scratch on the finish on the back) it is in
great condition. I would say this guitar's best characteristics are
that it plays easily and that it has a lot of character. This Savoy
has a beautiful sunburst finish, two humbucking pickups, and a smooth
full-bodied sound. Hard shell case is included. Asking $1200. This is a
wonderful foot-in-door jazz box to cut your teeth on, and an affordable
workhorse for the daily gigger who wants to leave the Benedetto at home."

The friend who I am posting this for says he's got photos that can be e-mailed if anyone is interested.

Having recently just purchased one of these (for more money), I can attest that these are fantastic archtops. Extremely well built (mine's a '96 Westerly, RI) and terrific sounding.

Я только что вернулся от 2 недель в России, и хотя я увидел Серп и молот в различных случаях, я никогда не видел гитара случае с его на.

Here is what I said above.....I just came back from 2 weeks in Russia, and while I saw the hammer and sickle on various occasions, I never saw a guitar case with it on

He might have an easier time selling the guitar if he swapped it out for another case. I'm just sayin'...

Hahaha...the case is an Epiphone case that my friend creatively transformed into the hammer and sickle. He has a quirky sense of humor.

Probably wasn't thinking about resale value at the time, huh? :\

Very nice guitar and a good price.
I have a lefty that is similar, and also the single pickup model. The neck pickup on these is to die for. Great buy for someone.
