Need wiring diagram for Emmons Legrande II

Post by Carl Vilar »

Just picked up a nice Emmons Legrande II SD10 I don't think it's wired right because the switch and volume knob do nothing. I could use a diagram if someone has one.

Where are the pickup wires in the first diagram since I don't have a neck selector seems thats the one I should be looking at.

Pickup Wiring for Emmons ST-10

Post by Lynn Stafford »

Carl,

The hot and ground wires for the pickup are not shown in the diagram, but go directly to the output jack, along with the hot and ground (shown) coming from the base of the pot and switch.
Best regards,
Lynn Stafford

Maybe I shouldn't butt in here, but isn't that a tone control wired to a simple off and on switch? If so, it would have almost no effect on the guitar's volume.

I don't recall LG's having a volume control but of course I could be wrong.

Tone Control Pot

Post by Lynn Stafford »

Jerry,

Yes, you are correct. There is no volume control pot, as the switch is designed to toggle the tone circuit in or out. I think perhaps Carl thought it was a volume control and didn't realize there is supposed to be a tone circuit instead.
Best regards,
Lynn Stafford
