Very Happy My wife asked me what I wanted for Fathers day, I said Ronnie Millers new CD without a pause. It got here today, and I am happy to say it is all I could have wished for to listen to, and of course try and learn from. It has a great variety of songs, the musicianship is all you could want, and the mix is awesome. Ronnie plays at the level of the masters and by the way was 2011 TSGA player of the year. He has guest singers such as Vince Gill, Darryl Singletary, Billy Martin, (not the Baseball manager) Laney Hicks and closes out with his boss for the last 19 or so years Charley Pride. Lloyd Green wirites the album liner notes and they call each other Friends. I have known Ronnie since he came off the road with a famous lady singer around 1968 and met him at Don Edwards Guitar City when I was just learning steel, I first heard him playing at the ZANZABAR in Denver, what a player was then and now.
There are great vocalist on this CD but it not a singers CD its a Steel CD and I love it.

Hey Bill,
Thanks for the great review of Brothers Legends & Friends. I think the reason for the small # of views is that this album has been out since March and already been posted on the forum a few times, one of which I think had over 1500 views. Anyway glad you liked it..Ronnie

Joan picked one up at TSGA. It's absolutely wonderful. But then I'm a Ronnie Miller fan.

The last time I talked to Ronnie on the phone he was in the process of making his CD and of course I was looking forward to hearing it. Actually I kind of forgot about it but I just heard it recently and it's really Great!! you could go to a thousand Charlie Pride concerts but unfortunately you won't get to hear Ronnie showcase his talent like this CD. I thoroughly enjoyed it. Very Happy

I got mine last year in Dallas too and it is great - one that helps me build steelseats plus one I take along in the truck too.

Don't tell Ronnie but he helps me build steelseats and I do not have to pay him.

Very Happy

I'm bumping this thread to say that Ronnie was recently in my neck of the woods and gave me a copy of his new CD. It is an incredible piece of steel work, with some of the hottest pickers and singers in the business. It is a testament to how much respect Ronnie demands in the world of country music and beyond. I'm proud to call such an amazing picker and great guy my friend.

I also can't say enough about this cd - as good as it gets. Which pretty much sums up how I feel about Ronnie too - both as a friend and a musician. If you only buy one steel guitar cd this year make it this one.

It is available from Itunes to download but it is also available to buy the CD as well. I know lots of people prefer to download these days but I still prefer buying CDs and having a keepsake because I am old school like that. This is one of my favourites in my collection.

This is a fantastic CD! It's obvious there was a great deal of time and effort put into it. Ronnie is a great player and this project is definitely proof of that.
