Hope you all had a great weekend so far!

It's Red Steagall singing. Is it Sonny Garrish on steel?

I'm leaning towards Hal Rugg but Sonny did cross my scan.

By the 70's it seems to me, very hard to distiguish between the major Steel Players. The licks, changes, and runs are pretty much standardized, to my Ear. All these players are terrific, but did the Nashvelle style as it developed, paint everyone into the same corner ? I have no idea who might be playing Steel on this recording.

Good Morning,

The player on this track is Sonny Garrish, from Red Steagall's album "Lone Star Beer And Bob Wills Music". IMO, one of the few albums that does not have a weak track on it, especially when considering that it was recorded when Country Pop ala Kenny Rogers and Anne Murray were the big thing...

Kind Regards, Walter
