Custom Webb *****SOLD*****

Post by Melvin Farmer »

I'm not playing steel much anymore, so I've decided to let this Webb amp go. Cabinets have D130F 8-ohm speakers that I bought off Ebay some 6 to 8 years ago. Don't know if they've been reconed or not, but probably have. I purchased this amp from Ray DeVoe Feb 2007. Don't want to ship, but will at buyers expense.

The price is $1250.00

Webb amp

Post by Ray DeVoe »

There have been two amps that I could "kick" myself for selling over the past 10 years. This Webb rig was one of those. The other was an Evans Fet 500 head with two cabinets.

I can vouch for the fact that this was a terrific sounding and working setup when I sold it 5 + years ago. The cabinets were empty (without speakers ) when Melvin purchased the rig from me.

I would consider buying it back but I dont play out enough anymore to justify the 2 Fender Vibrosonics and Sarno / Furlong combination setups that I currently have.

If you love the sound of the Webb amp, this is a rare setup. If I remember correctly, the speakers originally were front mounted? Im sure that it probably does not make much difference.
