I'm in your midst! After a gig in Auckland the other night, we flew over to Melbourne yesterday. Here are my dates. The act is called City and Colour.

I just dropped my daughter off at the train station .Her and some friends are off to see City and Colour then I come home and read this thread ! I should have joined her . |

Great to hear Brendan.
I'm being introduced by some friends of mine to a Australian steel player named Bill Chambers. Anybody heard of him? Hearing his playing now on his daughter Kasey Chambers' record. Great playing.

Yeah Bill is a great lap player, not pedal. Had the priveledge of having Bill play one of my own make 8 string lap steels at a concert. He is not a 8 string player but he killed it! He has this old 6 stringer he has modified with his home made palm pedals to get pedal sounds. It was rough but gee it worked well. Sold me!! Am now building one myself. This is Bills lap. It's an old Tomkins (ozz guitar builder)
Look forward to catching up Aaron. My daughter is buzzing so I am bringing her along. |

Aaron, the pleasure was ours and I think we both were on a high for days. Thank you for allowing us this moment and can you please thank Dallas for giving so much to Rhiannon. To walk outside and see another 30 or so fans waiting in the cold for a chance to see you guys, and we having chatted in a private audience for so long made Rhi go 'WOW'!
Thanks also for letting Rhi see the pedal steel played with such a wonderful touch in music she loves. Canada is on our list and a catch up for sure.
