Did this instrumental have any connection to the old Wills Point Ballroom and resort that used to be outside Sacramento Calif. At one time owned by Bob Wills and home to the Billy Jack Wills band in the early fifties ?

Mr. T,

This is an original Buddy Emmons tune. But Buddy has said he wrote it as his tribute to Leon MacAuliffe and Noel Boggs, (who you know better than most of us Wink ) were two of Bob's better known steel players and were big influences on BE.

BTW, thank you for your contributions here on the SGF. I always enjoy your input on the heyday of western swing and the California country scene.
