A friend of mine has a Guya tone six string. Other than a dark tone and an occasional cutout, it doesn't seem that bad. He was asking me questions, but i don't know a dang thing about them

Thanks, Brad. I keep forgetting about the Google link, and I was at the friend's gig, and he asked me about it. It has some electronic issue, probably a bad solder joint: it'll drop out but tapping the volume pot will usually revive it.
