restoring a marlen

Post by Wayne Brown »

does any body know who built these guitars...is he/they still alive...can i get ahold of him/them...i just finished restoring a old s10 ..changed it from wood grain formica to black formica and added upper and lower polished trim on the front skirt,...took out the aluminum rods and one brass one...hehehehe...and put in stainless steel 1/8' rods...tightened up all the looseness in the changer and repolished all the aluminum...and a bunch of other stuff...now i've restored alot of guitars and i have never seen a guitar so simple , work so good ...and the tone is fantastic...anyways i'd just like to find out anything i can about these guitars and there builders as we don't see many marlen's up here

thanks

Wayne,
Although I just Puchases a New Carter D12, and am exreamly happy with it..I have to endorse Lenord and his fine Marlen Guitar, Company and Staff.
I just attended the latest Mid Atlantic Steel Guitar Association (MSAGA) Jam at Danville ,NC. Mr Stadler, ad two of his staff( which are oustanding PSG players as well as skilled manufactuers, instucters, repair personal, and People..were in attendance. The Marlin PSG is the ONLY steel gutAR REPRESENTATIVE WHICH HAS BEEN IN attendance ar the last TWO MASGA Jams!!.The only publications or advertsements for the MASGA jams have been Marlin.. The Mid Atlantic States cover a VERY LARGE population and and posible Market. It would be wise for other PSG manufactuers, dealers, and PSG supplies and equipment,To Contact the officers of the MASGA for posible exposur to this Market
