How much does a Nashville 1000 weigh, with a BW 1501-4ohm? Is there a good difference in weight of the regular 1501 BW, and one with the neo magnet in it?

| It weighs 57 Lbs with BW 1501-4....knock off about 10 Lbs with a Neo speaker. |

| The BW 1501-4SB weighs in at 17 pounds. Adding a NEO mag to a BW reduces it by about 7 pounds. A Neo by Eminence or SICA will shave more weight off (about 2-3 more pounds). |

Thanks guys. I like the sound of my N-112 with Ken's new chip mod. I'm thinkin my next amp is gonna be a Nash-1000 with 1501 neo mag, and Ken's chip mod.

Terry I have the neo 1501 in my Nashville 1000 and the weight is pretty manageable ... I don't have too much trouble lugging it around when I use that amp !

Hey Terry, how's it going? I've owned two of the 1000's and could not get a good sound from either. My friend Travis Partain plays one and his tone is always great but they just wouldn't work for me. To, honky sounding and none of the zingy highs that I like. I guess it all boils down to your touch, you may love them. I've heard that they have the same pre-amp that the Nashville 112 has but different power amp but they sound nothing like a 112. As far as the weight, they don't feel near as heavy as the Nashville 400 but the big cabinet makes them a pain to haul around.

Hey Henry, I beleive you add another steel guitar to your collection every time I see a new post from you.  I owned a N-1000 several years ago, and liked the tone I got from it, and it didn't have the new Fox chip mod. That little N-112 I have with Ken Fox new chip mod is an awesome sounding little amp.
I was wanting the 1000 for bigger Churches, and outside singings, but if it ain't gonna sound like the N-112 then I may look for something else.
How do you like the Mullen? Pre RP?

Terry IMO it sounds better than a NV112 ... and far more suitable for bigger venues .. especially if you play any C6th.

Paddy, I don't play over 2 or 3 tunes on C6, but gonna learn a few more. But the 1000 with the 15" speaker just gives my sound more body/fullness.
I may try another one, just depends on how the LTD 400 works out for me.

Yeh I do Terry, I'm trying to find one I can play.
Like the Mullen fine. Plays smooth and sounds great. First one I've ever owned and very satisfied with it.
As far as the amp goes, try to find you a good LTD or Session 400. The 400 has a bigger cabinet but understand they are the same electronically. Great amps!!!! I love my LTD and that's all I play thru but they aren't for everybody. Sometimes if you up this way, be glad to let you try mine.

Henry, I just bought an 80 model LTD 400 from Larry Petree, minus the speaker. I put a K-130 JBL in it. had to take the reverb pan, chassis and all out to get the speaker in. Sounds real good to my ears. I got a Lexicon 110 coming to use for reverb/delay and just go from there. I have a 93 Pre RP Mullen that sounds great through my Nashville 112, especially when using my MRX Carbon copy delay. Hadn't played the Mullen through my LTD yet.
