I bought an old Session 400 a while back and it needs somebody to go through it. I plugged it in last night and it came on but I couldn't get my steel to play through it. It looks like it's been fiddled with before and I sure don't know what needs to be done to get it working.
What or who would you suggest.
Thanks! |

I've used the Good Guys in St Paul. They are authorized Peavey service as well as willing to do all the mod kits and ideas floating around. They are working on my Session 400 head now and did a LeMay cap kit install on a NV400 for me a few years ago. The are in the little shop in the basement of an apartment bldg. right on the NW corner of Lexington and Grand Ave. Been around for a long time.

Rodger,
I'll give them a call.
That's a pretty handy place for me to get to.
Do you have any idea what it's going to cost you?
Thanks |

Erv. Why would you not just send it to the guys that built it? Pull the head out and send it down. You can't go wrong. The price will be fair and the service is great.

Don't know yet. I've never felt I was overcharged. It's great to be able to save shipping. 30+ lbs x 30 inches is hard to box right & expensive to ship!

Fred,
That's why I'm asking.
I don't know whether to use somebody locally or send it to Peavey. |

Savage Audio (builds tube amps) is also a repair center. Tell Jeff Krumm I sent you in if you choose them. |

I agree. Savage Audio has fixed all of my amps. They do a good job and are inexpensive. |

This is just a follow up to my posting.
I sent the chassis to Peavey for repair.
I got a call from them yesterday and it is fixed and ready to be returned.
The cost of repair was $90.00 which I think is quite reasonable.
When I looked it over, it appeared that somebody had fooled around inside of it before so who knows what needed to be done. |

I put the chassis back into the cabinet, hooked everything up and it sounds GREAT!
Go, Peavey! |

Kevin,
Yes, I'm sure glad I decided to let Peavey do the repairs. |
