This is a fascinating thread, steel guitar in Cuba..thanks to Andy and others for highlighting and re-bouncing it. I think steel guitar sounds particularly good esp. playing lead in some cha-cha and rhumba rhythms. I have recorded and posted a couple of compositions by Cuban composer Ernesto Lecuona previously on this forum ("The Breeze and I", "La Comparsa"; he was a very gifted composer. If I remember correctly, also composed "Siboney".
