This is the Dragon steel that was made for me by Mark Giles at Star Guitars in Texas.

I sent them the Claro Walnut for the body. Most Steels are built with maple.

Mark built and sent me the body and neck. I inlaid the Fret Board on the neck with White MOP, Paua Abalone and Red Abalone Heart.

I took the body to our workshop in Viet Nam. There, our best inlay artist (Diep) did all the special inlays including the Dragon on the front apron and my Name Logo.

After all the inlay work was finished I sent the guitar back to Star Guitars where Mark and his partner finished the instrument.

It is a real joy to play and to own.

It has 10 Strings, 4 pedals and 5 knee levers tuned to more or less the standard "Nashville E9th"...

Plays & Sounds great.

In another thread the question was asked, "how many pedal steel guitars have been produced?"
From this thread it's obvious that most steel guitarists own multiple instruments, so the question may not be "how many steel guitars have been produced?", but rather, "how many steel guitarists are there?"

Very nice guitar Jimmy. That may have belonged to John Edmed at one time - I remember him having one just like it.

Here's my three. The black Emmons is a 69?70 Fat Back, Rosewood is a 75 and the ZB I don't know. Don't see many ZB's made without the horns so I assume this is a later model maybe made in Waco I heard.
