If I didn'y have GAS already, I think I'm coming down with it after seeing your collection, Michael, love those woody Rickenbacher's!

Good gravy, I can't even imagine having a candy store like these shown here, and certainly couldn't manage maintaining that much vintage, but I'm glad somebody's willing and able to protect such luscious bounty. High fives, gentlemen, it must be fun!
At least I can trump all that booty with one recent purchase that is more than vintage ampage, with this Dean Jeffries custom addorned Marvel 35, and it didn't break the bank, actually got it for substantially less than the asking price!

For the FYI just google Jeffries California Custom, he's from my old neighborhood, and is one of many Kustom Kulture icons the region produced. This amp should have gone for much more had they posted it properly, I'm lucky to have it.

Arrgg! Wow, you guys. Just curious if you've ever considered adoption- a person, not more steels... I'm available...

Something I would love to hear from you guys with extensive collections is a breakdown of the various models with your feelings about tone, playability, and stylistic application for the various models. For example, I really love my Oahu Tonemasters for blues and rock, the pickups seem to break up just right, and they're very comfortable to play. The Sierra 8 string I had was a magnificent machine, ergonomically a real joy to play (great string spacing) but the very modernity of the build and pickup rendered it somewhat generic, sounding more like a pedal steel than a lap in character. Of all the laps I've owned, the upgraded Chandler was surprisingly one of the best for 6 string C6, not so much for blues and rock. I'm playing an Asian GB import right now live, because of the two P 90 setup which suits the rock and Lindleyish stuff I'm going for live very well.

Any of those kinds of differences/ preferences among all these beautiful guitars?

WOW , what a beautiful collection !! Back around 1949 I went to a local guitar store and they had a Gibson amp with two either 6 in. or 8 in. speakers . It sounded real good but I didn't buy it , no $$. I didn't see anything like it in your collection and wonder if you might know what model amp that might have been ?? Eddie "C" AKA the old geezer

Michael, take a look at my website and you can see the following EH-185 Models: 6 string sunburst(s), 6 string natural, 7 string sunburst(s), 8 string sunburst, 8 string natural,and 10 string sunburst. These have a mixture of CC PU(s), and ES-300 PU(s).
