First of all, my heart and prayers go out to Bunny and the family. Herby was my idol. He was one of the most intelligent, caring and gifted musicians to walk the face of the earth. I feel honored that I got to work with Herby and will treasure those times just as the many others. He was the most unselfish man I've ever met. Music has lost a legend. Please keep Bunny and family and friends in your prayers.

I bought quite a few steel guitar items from Herby over the years and he was always there to explain and help out.

Please remember Herby in your prayers.

Rest in peace.

Craig Baker sent me an email with a link that said "Herby Wallace". I opened it expecting it to lead me to a video of Herby, since Craig and I have talking recently about Herby and the steel shows Craig put on in the 80's. Instead it led me here...

I'm shocked and saddened. Rest in peace, Herby. May the good Lord bring peace to Bunny and the rest of their family.

I've beed thinking I needed to call Herby for a month or more but just didn't react to the promptings. Good bye Herb. You were the fastest, most accurate steel player I ever heard or knew, and a good friend.

What sad news this is. No one took care of the "MASTERSHIP" representation in our steel guitar world better than Herbie Wallace. Condolences to Bunny and family in this time of need. Rest in peace my dearest friend. Go with God now. The wonderful memories and friendship you gave to all of us will last forever.

Such a great Ambassador for the pedal steel. At our last Peach Jam, Herby spent most of his set sharing stories with the audience, and we hung on the edge of our seats listening to every word. Thank you, Herby; you touched a lot of lives.
