Lawrence 710 Question

Post by Glenn Austin »

I just got a Lawrence 710 for my Emmons. What I need to know is which wire is the hot wire, black or white, and in which direction do I put the pickup, meaning the end where the wires come out, should they be nearest me or away from me. I know both of these things affect absolute phase. Thanks in advance.

Glenn , black is the ground, white is the lead..I dont think it will matter which end you mount it from..But I always mounted them with the leads closest to the center of the PSG..Main reason being having enough wire to reach the switch..Depending on the wire length/distance to switch , you may not have a choice anyway..
