Does anyone remember 50 years ago?
When I was a youngster I used to listen to a song and I remember the chorus. But cannot seem to find out who recorded it. It went "Do you mind when you go out that door go softly, do you mind if you leave me sleeping."

Thanks Dave
I think it was Johnny Horton or Lefty Frazell, maybe Dave Dudley, I am hoping someone will know.

Actually, jus' funnin' 'round. Of course I remember the Beatles. Saw them at Candlestick Park in the '60's. I especially remember them doing all their hits like "Satisfaction", "You Really Got Me" etc...
Jus' a funnin' agin folks.

Chris, I don't think that is the one he is talking about. The words he remembers are not the anywhere in the song you posted. And...
No way could Matt Munro be mistaken for Dave Dudley or Lefty Frizell. I still think Dave H, had it right.I think it was Johnny Horton or Lefty Frazell, maybe Dave Dudley, I am hoping someone will know.

allmusic.com is a good source.
Here's what they have for Hank Snow...

Lots of "train" stuff but I didn't see the album you referenced.

At least there's something chronologicaly wrong, he or she wouldn't say this while sleeping. Better: "Dou you mind if you let me sleep again?"Barry Blackwood wrote:"Do You Mind If You Leave Me Sleeping."
Is it me, or is there something grammatically wrong with that statement? It doesn't sound right.
Never mind I'm only trying to be funny.

Sounds like Billy "Crash" Craddock's "Walk Softly", about 1975.It went "Do you mind when you go out that door go softly, do you mind if you leave me sleeping."
"Walk softly when you walk by me cause my heart is still, don't shake it up
Now that I've cried my love to sleep don't wake it up, don't wake it up"
