Allright Ed, I said I'd give "my opinion" on the Zirc bar after I spent some time with it so here it is... "I love it!!" I love the finish of the bar. It's super slick but not that "ice on glass" feeling that I felt from a Paloma stone slide. It's just right!! The weight is perfect in my personal opinion. Don't get me wrong.. I love my BJ's weight and tone, but I got the same tone with the Zirc bar as any of my steel bars and I feel a little "quicker" on some of the fast licks. The color of the bar is one of my favorite things. It's not a dull black, or even a shiny black. It's more of a black chrome finish and it's looks really really nice. I think the only reason I had never tried one before is because a steel bar is cheaper... but if anyone tries this bar I dont' think they'll mind the price once they have it in their hands. We're all guilty of buying that "next great thing" that's gonna make us all play like Herby, Doug, or Tommy. Well, heres one that I'm glad I finally tried. I don't think I'll ever use anything other than my Zirc bar from now on.
And NO.. this is not a paid advertisment. I just bought one and fell in love with it. Ed and Vinh treated me great and the bar is wonderful. Now "Let's go steel something"

I received the new Zirc bar today. It is for a friend who does not have a computer and he was hoping to have it by Christmas. That was a very quick delivery. Thanks Ed and Vinh and Merry Christmas to both of you.

I got my new zirc bar a month or so ago. Definitly less string noise and it feels quicker too. It gives me options along with my bjs bar. Great combo.

Ed, it's all I hoped it would be plus everything all the happy owners said it was. I just wish I hadn't waited so long to get one :\ . I highly recommend this bar!!

Just received a white one at the holiday sale price of $120 + $10 from Vinh. So the sale must still be on. I've been using the zirc bar exclusively and knew I would miss it if I lost it and that they may not be available later.

With my black one I now have a salt and pepper set :D

15/16" white zirc bars are all gone.

Post by ed packard »

The 15/16" white zircs are no more. Some left of the other color/sizes left...contact Vinh at zirbar for info.
