Is this the same pickup and what would one expect to hear with them. (Bright, mellow, dull, rich, weak, mid rangey???)
This should be interesting, let's wait and see.

Larry - I posted the following in Sept. 2000:
"Labor Day - Day off. Installed my L910 PU on my Fessy front neck. I had a L710 in there and I think that after only an afternoon's playing on it, I'll keep it in there. GREAT pickup. My subjective comments: Compared to the L710, is equal, if not superior in string separation (hard to tell) with a much enhanced low end response (clean). There seems to be no loss of highs either, at least the way I had it EQ'd. No noticable loss of volume on the top 3 strings at all - again with clear string separation in all ranges. It also has the closest thing to that mid-range growl that I've heard in a humbucker. Very full sounding, pleasing pickup. I've got mine set even across the strings at 3/16" - maybe just a fuzz less.
Don't get me wrong - I love the L710, but this is one sweet pickup, and I realized that within the first 15 minutes of playing."
BTW - the 910 and the sidewinder...one and the same.<FONT SIZE=1 COLOR="#8e236b"><p align=CENTER>[This message was edited by Steve Feldman on 12 May 2002 at 04:13 PM.]</p></FONT>
