I've seen Bill play a bunch of times and every time I've seen him in the last few years he's used one or two fender tube amps along with an acoustic amp. His tone is great of course and to me sounds very similar to what steel players are looking for in a clean tone. I used an acoustic amp for my pedal steel once at a quiet rehearsal and it had a certain quality to it that I really liked. Anyone out there tried this before?

Hey Brett, when I first started playing steel(not that I've been playing that long Smile )I used an older Fender Acoustasonic W/My '68 Fender 400 PS & I always liked the sound of it...very harmonicly rich.
