WTB Fender 400

Post by Wayne Wallett »

Looking for a Fender 400 pedal steel. Hopefully a later model 10 string. Wanted for some west coast Mooney style tracks in studio. Would consider a D10 as well.

WTB Fender 800 S10

Post by Wayne Wallett »

Hi formulites....a fellow forum member updated me. The Fender 400 was an S8 8 stringer, the 10 string version was called the Fender 800. The D10 version of the Fender 1000 8 string was called Fender 2000. I am looking for the 10 string model preferably the single neck.
Thanks,
Wayne Wallett

Good luck Wayne. The Fender 800 is the toughest cable model to find by far,, Its easier to find a 2000 D10.. I had one and sold it, realized I was a FOOL, and had to look for a year and a half to find another 3,000 miles away.

Bobbe Seymour has a real nice 800 at his store, but its very pricey.. Maybe he will do some wheeling and dealing.. Probably worth a call. It looks to be in beautiful shape... Good luck in your search.. Mine will never slip from my grasp the way the last one did... bob
I'm over the hill and hittin'rocks on the way down!

Wayne,
Kentucky Music in Bowling Green, KY has one now on consignment for a customer. It looked like it was in pretty good shape from what I could tell. Their number is (270)842-8022 if you want to check it out. Ask for David Chandler, you can tell him I told you about it.
